This year’s theme, A Rebirth Into Blackness: A Celebration of the Life of Gwendolyn Brooks, will illuminate the legacy of Ms. Brooks and the resurrection of the Brook’s Writers’ Conference. Mitchell L. H. Douglas will join guest speakers and panelists that include: Angela Jackson, Haki Madhubuti, Sterling Plump, Tyehimba Jess, Randall Horton, Tara Betts, Cole Lavalais, Sandra Jackson-Opoku, Crystal Wilkinson, Kelly Norman Ellis, Tony Lindsay, and many more.
