Douglas wins 2011 Lexi Rudnitsky/Editor's Choice Award
Mitchell L. H. Douglas' second poetry manuscript, \blak\ \al-fə bet\, is the winner of the 2011 Lexi Rudnitsky/Editor's Choice Award. The book, which traces the history and haunts of a Southern family after the death of its matriarch, will be published by Persea Books of New York in the fall of 2012.
The Lexi Rudnitsky/Editor's Choice Award is awarded annually through a partnership between Persea Books and The Lexi Rudnitsky Poetry Project. It is open to any American poet who has previously published at least one full-length book of poems.
